Troon's Open

Out of Bounds Live Music Events

Updated 17th of June

Out of Bounds is hosting a four day long, diverse celebration of live music and entertainment coinciding with the return of the world’s greatest golf event, The Open Championship, to the Ayrshire coastal town. The programme has been curated by the promoters behind WinterStorm and South Beach Sessions, aimed at being attractive to visitor and local alike and we're sure that every event will be a celebration of international dimensions.

Taking place from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st July 2024 the core events will be hosted in Troon Concert Hall with three live stages and a food and drink area celebrating the best of Scottish produce. We are also about to unveil a special fourth outdoor "Buskers' Stop" stage which will be hosted to the front of

Each day will offer up to four events across the two venues ranging from traditional Scottish folk all the way through to 1970's punk icons The Skids and even better news is that the organisers are trying to cap every ticket to under £30 to keep it affordable.

Out of Bounds Venue | Live Music | Bars | Food

Located in the centre of the town Troon Concert Hall is situated less than two kilometres from The Open Championship venue at Royal Troon and half that to the railway station. The abundance of trains during The Open Championship make it the best way to get to each concert.

The venue is used each year to host WinterStorm, the international indoor rock festival, and offers three rooms with two stages, two large bars and a Scottish themed menu. Plenty of space, plenty of seating and easy access to and from the hotels, pubs restaurants in town and will be adjacent to the drop off point of the FREE shuttle bus from Royal Troon which stops outside.

The Main Live Music Stage

The Main Live Music Stage will feature full sets from Tide Lines, The Skids, Eddi Reader, Blue Rose Code and Clann an Drumma along with a special Over 25's "Spirit of Pebbles Revisited" Tribute Band Party Night featuring the sounds of Bowie, Simple Minds and Deacon Blue along with DJ sets. Other local bands are being announced shortly to ensure that there will be live music for everyone throughout the four days.

Each live set has a maximum stage time of ninety minutes to allow ticket holders to enjoy everything else that is going on in the town without having to commit a full night to it. Thursday and Friday will host two gigs per night.

This will be a mix of ticketed and free music events. Watch the line up page for final set times and ticketing.

With a capacity of 850 mixed seated/standing or 600 seated this old school venue with balcony offers a superb acoustic experience as well as a great layout. There will be up to three shows a day in the main hall featuring a diverse range of live music and entertainment from across multiple genres.

The Walker Hall Stage

A mix of live music and DJs will provide the backdrop to Troon's biggest bar, cafe and venue. Open from 6pm Thursday and Friday and from Noon on the weekend all the way through to midnight, The Walker Hall will become a bar and café serving a range of real ales and a full Scottish street food menu all week for the whole venue with the best, most international atmosphere. Entrance to this area will be by free wristband but very much subject to capacity.

The Sunset Sessions Cafe

The "reception room" will converty to a chilled out cafe/restaurant area which will offer pre gig table reservations for our exclusive Scottish Tapas menu provide by our chef Vicky, who previously operated The Venice Cafe in the town.

The room will be set up with 80 covers with magnificent views over the coastline and while we can guarantee that the sunset will happen every night we can't necessarily ensure you'll see it! But if you do...

The Sunset Sessions Cafe will have a chilled vibe about it with relaxed dining and occasional acoustic acts mingled with some appropraite background music for the location.

Table bookings will be available for Ticket Holders first from Sunday 30th of June. Please register your interest here.
